Vacancy for the position of Assistant Clerk to the Council – 18 months fixed term contract

 

Applications are invited for the post of Assistant Parish Clerk for Eccleshall Parish Council.  The post is for 7 hours per week and the starting salary, based on NJC scales, will start at SCP 5, (£19,312 per annum, pro rata) dependent upon qualifications and experience. The Assistant Clerk will work from home, and it is expected that the appointment will commence as soon as the right candidate is able to start. Initial working hours may be up to 10hrs per week to incorporate training requirements.

The Parish area includes the Wards of Croxton, Slindon and Horsley, as well as the Town Ward, covering almost 20,000 acres.

The Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual, who has the flexibility, knowledge and skills to manage a varied workload to support the work of the Parish Clerk.

The successful candidate will possess excellent administrative experience, together with organisational and IT abilities (Word, Excel, Publisher, website updating) and proven interpersonal skills.
