The Council have been notified of a forthcoming 24 hour closure of the M6 motorway between junction 14 and junction 15.
As part of the upgrade to the smart motorway upgrade programme, Creswell Home Farm Bridge is to be demolished, just north of J14. The bridge is no longer in use and is too narrow to allow for an extra permanent lane.
The work is hoping to be completed in 12 hours, but it could take up to 24 hours depending on the complex nature of the demolition. The motorway will be closed at 8pm on Saturday 22 September and re-open on Sunday 23rd September 2018, as soon as work allows.
