Are you part of an organisation/community group who is looking for funding to support a project that will benefit local residents within Eccleshall Parish?
Eccleshall Parish Council have a grant scheme in place that welcomes applications from groups within the area, for small amounts of money to help support specific projects.
Grants from Eccleshall Parish Council are funded by Eccleshall Council Tax, and are allocated under s137 of the Local Government Act 1972, and as such, must consider an application to have met the following criteria:
- The grant is to be used to the benefit of Eccleshall Parish area, or part of;
- The grant must be for the benefit of more than one person, so funding applications should be for an organisation. However, it may be possible for the council to help an organisation to which an individual belongs, thus releasing funds for that organisation to help individuals. As an example, the Council could make a donation to a local organisation which provides grants to persons in need.
- The grant must be an amount that is proportionate to the amount of people that will incur the benefit.

Applications are considered at our Policy and Resources Committee meeting, which is held approximately every 2-3 months, so any applications should be allowed enough time to be considered by the committee ahead of the need for the funds.
