Stay at Home 75th Anniversary VE Day Party- 8th May 2020

You are warmly invited to  the great ‘Stay at Home’ VE Day 75th Anniversary Party on the 8th May, from 2-3.30pm, in the comfort of your own home.


Eccleshall Parish Council and the Little George/What’s On Eccleshall are hosting a ‘Stay at Home’ Party on the afternoon of the 8th May, to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of VE Day.

Running from 2pm-3.30pm, everyone is invited to hold their own front garden party (or of this isn’t possible join in via the back garden/window)  to celebrate the nations heroes. A 90 minute live broadcast will be streamed by the Little George and will be available from There will be a toast held at 3pm, to recognise heroes past and present.

All guests are expected to attend in accordance with social distancing regulations, at their own homes, and keep 2 metres away from your neighbours. Sing loudly, and you will still all be part of the same party!

Everyone is asked to decorate their houses in red white and blue, and competitions will include best dressed house, and best ‘dressed’ party.

Become a Cheerleader:

We want you! We need cheerleaders to lead the celebrations in each street. Contact your neighbours through the safest means, display an event poster in your window, but most importantly,  get a speaker and lead the songs from your garden.
