The re-dedication service for the war memorial was held on Sunday 24th June. The service was to honour the 17 Eccleshall men who lost their lives in the Great War, and whose names had just been added to the War Memorial.
The Service involved the Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire, Mr Ian Dudson, CBE KStJ and the Bishop of Stafford, the Rt Revd Geoff Annas.
Also in attendance was the High Sheriff Pippa Gee DL, and other dignitaries who were kind enough to take the time to attend the service to honour those who lost their lives in the Great War.
Descendants of those added to the memorial were invited to lay wreaths.
The service was the culmination of a number of years of hard work to research the histories of local men and women who were involved in the Great War.
